Purchase the recording of this workshop: Strength in Practice! Available to stream until January 9, 2022.
Strength is an essential part of our dance (and of living!) – but why? Every athlete has a strength and conditioning program to support their performance and prevent injury. Mobility and strength can be a limiting factor to our dance performance, especially if dance is our only activity. However, just being strong isn’t enough to be a better dancer. Learn how to identify where weakness or strength imbalances may be blocking your growth, how to work on accessing your strength in a way that improves your dance, and how to begin to improve all these areas and keep growing!
In this online lecture, we’ll be covering:
  • Common movement, strength, and range of motion issues that can contribute to both injury and decreased performance for belly dancers
  • How to strengthen these weaker areas and how to begin to “correct” our movement patterns
  • A selection of specific exercises to help support our belly dance practice
  • And more!

All led by Siobhan Camille, an exercise scientist and Strength & Conditioning Coach with over decade of experience in rehabilitation and athletic performance (who also happens to be a professional belly dancer!).

Watch Siobhan chatting about the contents of the workshop here.

As a thank you for signing up, you’ll also receive a discount code for the 2022 Dance Strong Online Fitness Challenge for Belly Dancers!

This lecture is available to stream from date of purchase until January 9, 2022.
